Eating out
Eating out is an important part of the Bulgarian culture and a main meal in the evening can often last 3 -4 hours. Many restaurants provide great live entertainment such as music, traditional dancing or floor shows.

There is a heavy influence in Bulgarian dishes from Greece and Turkey and main ingredients include fresh vegetables, chillis, chicken and pork. Lamb dishes are not that common in Bulgaria.
Also they offer the best fish from the Black Sea and there are types of fish here you can eat, that you would not eat anywhere else in the world.

Salads are an important part of the meal especially shopska salad - tomatoes,Cucumber, onion, white cheese  (Feta). Meat dishes include Kavarma, pork or chicken skewers, pigs on roasting spits, a selection of meats on a clay tile. Homemade pizzas and traditional dishes such as shopska in an oven clay dish, which is basically egg, cheese and tomatoes all baked together in a dish. Vegetarians are not really catered for there is a lake of variety.

Tea is not common in Bulgaria and coffee over there is normally very dark, thick and syrup like. The beer is popular either draught or bottles of Zagorka or Kamenitza which are the prefered local beers. Rakia the national apertif, is a strong like brandy drink often consumed along with a salad and this should be sipped.

Children are welcomes in all restaurants but you must remember that smoking is still allowed in Bulgaria and in restaurants smoking during meals is the norm, so you may wish to sit outside.

Djanni’s

A lovely restaurant serving a wide range of food and wine. Lots of large meals served on Skillets or clay tiles. Good value for money, service can be a bit slack at times as this place is very popular and does get busy and expect to que to get in.

Khans Tent

Experience traditional Bulgarian cuisine while enjoying the floorshow, or trying out the dance floor, this is a great venue with a most original exterior and interior decor.
EVENING ENTERTAINMENT

If you like to dance the night away there are quite a few nightclubs in Sunny Beach which stay open all night, Some good ones are club Lazur and most evenings ladies can get in free before midnight. Club Mania,Disco Orange, Iceberg & the luxuroius and trendy club Mystique at Cacao Beach.

If you simply fancy a drink there are alot of bars in Sunny Beach and you can choose from Karaoke bars, Cocktail Bars,Disco Bars, Beach Bars and erotic bars. If your feeling home sick there are a few English bars such as The Market Inn run by a couple from Nottigham and aslo The Red Lion Pub. For great entertainment for the ladies the maximus male dance group put on a floor show in many of the bars in Sunny Beach also.

Khans Tent – This is definitely worth a visit. A beautiful tent like restaurant located up in the Balkan Mountains. Go there to get the best views of Sunny Beach. Enjoy a three course meal with wine plus a spectacular floor show including Bulgarian Dancers and Contortionists.

Disco Orange – Doors open every night from 10.30 – dawn. Guest DJ’s from UK and Denamrk.

Dance Mania – Situated in the centre of Sunny Beach located on 3 levels, one level plays traditional Bulgarian Chowder music and then in the other rooms you can dance away to the best Bulgarian DJ’s

Lazur: Located in the South end of Sunny Beach this nightclub is one of the biggest in Sunny Beach and has an open air area with a bar and a swimming pool for you to cool down in. Ladies granted free entrance till midnight.

Iceberg: Live music club – they have some famous Bulgarian bands singing live here.

Corner Bar: Strategic in location which makes it a great place to sit in the evening and watch everyone walk down Flower Street.
ACTIVITES
Action Aqua Park

Set within an area of 24,000 m2 in the Western part of Sunny Beach the Action Aqua park is one of the most amusing and inspiring aqua parks on the Black Sea Coast. There you will forget the everyday concerns and loose your energy, which will take you to the world of adventures, games and extreme experience.

Action Aqua park offers water attractions for each taste and age. Thirteen water attractions, several cocktail bars offering fresh drinks, and restaurants where you can try tempting culinary specialties, are located amidst the wide grass areas.

Diving

Diving has become in recent years a favorite pastime with Bulgarian and foreign holiday makers on the Black Sea coast. Well-equipped with diving outfits and underwater cameras, and accompanied by experienced instructors, the adventures take a plunge into the waters of the Black Sea and head straight for underwater caves and reefs, or shipwrecks, or military aircraft lying on the bottom of the sea.

Horse Riding

You can even learn to ride a horse in Sunny Beach, for 1 hour it only costs 10lv.The horse riding School is at the Northern end of Sunny Beach on the old Varna Road towards St Vlas. Beautiful horses are waiting for you!!!! They have professional instructors, so even if you never tried climbing on the back of a horse, they are there to guide you and make it an unforgettable experience!!

Go Karting

This is situated right next door to the Horse Riding School. Why not have a go and see how fast you can get round this track. Suitable cars for Adults and Children. Fun for everyone!!

Watersports

Sunny Beach is popular for watersports and other activities. Why not try parasailing as a tandem either from the beach front or take off from the back of a boat and get dipped into the sea as you glide around. One of the best ways to see Sunny Beach.

Jet skis are available all day, every day and they range from approx £13.00 for 2 people for 20 mins.
